You surely have this topic of which you know enough about to want to know more but it is not relevant enough to your work to take the time and learn it. Wouldn’t it be nice if a colleague who has an overview of this topic could just go to the board and explain what this is about? This is the motivation of starting a “What is…” seminar, similar to the ams publications.
