The idea behind XIMPEL
XIMPEL aims to be a platform for multimedia developers of
all skill levels. This is realized by using a component
based structure. The beginning developer can use the
default XIMPEL player component and will only have to edit
the XML based playlist to create their own interactive
video application. The advanced developer has a general
understanding of Flex and Actionscript 3 and can use this
knowledge to extended the XIMPEL framework and components
to create their own application.
