introduction multimedia
The first series of screenshots are taken from the
practical work for Introduction Multimedia, of which the assignment
was to produce a presentation of an Annotated Tour in Amsterdam.
The goal was to create a more or less compelling presentation.
Interactivity was explicitly forbidden.
the first row:
The fragments are taken from a presentation entitled Museum Tour,
giving information about musea in Amsterdam.
The fragments show a painting from from Vincent van Gogh
and Rembrandt van Rijn, representing respectively the Vincent van Gogh
museum and the Rijksmuseum.
the second row:
The presntation shows a number of locations in Amsterdam
that may be of interest for the tourist.
The fragments show, respectively, the city concerthall
(Concertgebouw) and the national second world war memorial on
the Dam square.
the third row:
The fragments are taken from an imaginary canal tour
by prince Willem Alexander and Maxima Zorregieta,
entitled "Stupid, he?", which is a literal quote from
the first public interview with the royal couple,
where Maxima is commenting on the behavior of her future husband
towards the press.
Multimedia Authoring I -- Web3D/VRML
The last series of fragments are taken from the Product
Demos mad for the Multimedia Authoring -- Web3D/VRML course.
The assignment was to develop a virtual product in 3D related
to M.C. Escher. In opposition to the assignment for the
Introduction Multimedia the product demo had to offer some basic
interactivity.
the fourth row:
The fragments show two Escher Product Dremos.
The Escher TV on the left allows
for watching graphical works of the dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher,
using an interaction device.
The background picture of the cow is completely gratuitous,
but does nevertheless give a distict dutch flavor.
The demo on the right is similar, but embedded in a different
environment.
