The course gives a survey of the most important notions in object-oriented software development. Concepts such as data
abstraction, encapsulation, inheritance and polymorphism play a central role. Moreover, object-oriented design and
analysis techniques will be discussed, and the application of these concepts in the development of frameworks and
reusable software. Also subjects such as design patterns, components, istributed object technology and software
architecture will be covered.
